The Shelburne Food Bank
Who Can Access
The Shelburne Food Bank is here to support anyone in our community experiencing food insecurity. If you need assistance, you are welcome to access our services.
We serve one household per address, and visits are available once per month.
What to Expect
When you arrive, we use a numbered system with a beeper to serve clients in order. Please take a number and beeper at the entrance and place the number on your vehicle (numbers are also available for those arriving on foot).
During the winter months and on days of poor weather, numbers are also available for walkers.
Please remember to bring reusable bags with you for your food items.
First Visit
On your first visit, a volunteer will meet with you to complete a short intake process. You will be asked to provide:

Government-issued ID for yourself and members of your household

Proof of address

Basic financial information, including income and expenses
Ongoing Visits
On each visit, a volunteer will connect with you to review the food options available that day. You will be able to share preferences, including dietary needs or restrictions.
While your order is being prepared, you may be invited inside to select from available fresh items and other products. Once ready, your food hamper will be brought out to your vehicle or provided directly to you.
Annual Renewal
Client files are renewed each fall. At that time, updated proof of address and household information will be required.
Food Bank Service Area
Here are the boundaries that are within the Shelburne Food Banks Area. From the East, Airport Road. From the South, 20th Sideroad. From the North, starting at Airport Road and County Road 21 through Corbetton to the Proton/Southgate Townline along Highway 89 to the 7th Line of Amaranth and down to 20th sideroad.
